One of the most respected sustainability certification in Brazil, Environmental Benchmarking Brazil, nominated two CTG Brasil projects for its 2018 edition. The project “Ecology and Fish Management of Salto Grande Fish Farm”, through which the company produces 3.6 million fingerlings to be released in their restocking actions in the Paraná and Paranapanema rivers, and the “Espaço Legal” campaign, to encourage the environmental regularization of occupations at the borders of HPP reservoirs, will become the largest digital bank of certified sustainability practices with free access in the Internet.
“Benchmarking Brazil brings together more than 200 experts and activists from 25 countries to select good practices, certifying and sharing these cases with the whole society. This certification of sustainability will be another important recognition of our environmental performance, “says the director of Environment, Health and Safety and Quality, Aljan Machado.
In the previous 15 editions, Benchmaking Brazil certified over 400 projects from 192 organizations. In addition to being integrated in the digital bank, the cases were shared in books, magazines and technical events, such as seminars, forums and congresses, reaching more than 80 thousand people.
The nominated projects will go through a process of selection to get the certification of Benchmarking Brazil in terms of sustainability practices. The award event of the 16th edition will take place on June 28 in São Paulo, with the presentation of selected projects and the publication of the 2018 Ranking of the Holders of Best Socio-Environmental Practices in Brazil.
