Created in 2013, CTG Brasil is part of China Three Gorges Corporation, the world’s largest hydropower generation company. With investments in 17 hydroelectric plants and 11 wind farms, CTG Brasil’s portfolio today has a total installed capacity of 8.27 GW. The second largest private power generator in the country, the company counts on the dedication of its local talent and is committed to contribute to the Brazilian energy matrix, based on social responsibility and respect for the environment.
In 2015, CTG Brasil won the auction of the concessions of the Jupiá and Ilha Solteira hydroelectric plants, which form the Rio Paraná Energia SA. Located on the Paraná River, between the states of São Paulo (SP) and Mato Grosso do Sul (MS), CTG Brasil, the plants are managed and operated by CTG Brasil and total 4,995 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity.
